Traffic accident claims life of one local woman
One Milesburg woman died and a Bellefonte woman is in critical condition after a vehicular accident occurred in front of the State Correctional Institution at Rockview yesterday afternoon.

Students see Ritenour changes as hot air
Although some students say the University should spend its money on improving health care instead of facilities, Ritenour Building renovations will still be completed this month.

Contractor faces money pit
Lott Constructors Inc., the contractor responsible for the completion of the Bryce Jordan Center, is no longer bidding on new projects because it is currently out of business. However, the firm has not filed for bankruptcy and still hopes to finish the center on schedule.

Eye-popping effects satisfy if not thrill
In Judge Dredd, Sylvester Stallone plays a law enforcer who speaks in mono-syllables. Perfect casting, no? Well, good casting does not a good movie make. And, needless to say, Judge Dredd is by no means good. But -- here's the kicker -- it's not all that bad. It's one of those weird movies that, while not having much cinematic value, manages to pass the time in an enjoyable way.
