Students annul contracts
Due to one of the highest numbers of freshman and returning students, the Office of Housing and Food Service Operations is encouraging 300 students to cancel their dorm contracts for next year.

McKeesport faces possible closure
The McKeesport Campus could close in two years if it does not make sufficient progress in meeting recommendations outlined by a committee appointed to study ways to revitalize the campus.

Student trustee search continues
The process to select a new student representative to the University Board of Trustees has moved on to Harrisburg where the fate of five University students now rests in the hands of Gov. Tom Ridge and the state Senate.
