Sporting club enjoys ultimate experience
Everyone knows Penn State is home to the Big Ten champions in football; most are even aware that the Nittany Lion basketball teams played better than the majority of their conference. But Penn State also holds the Big Ten champion title in a sport which doesn't take balls to play -- Ultimate Frisbee.

As a result of last Thursday's practice meet, seven holes were created in the men's gymnastics team's 36-spot lineup.

Jockeys riding to nationals
Since its opening show on Sept. 1, the equestrian club team has been No. 1 in its region. This ranking entitles the squad to compete in the upcoming nationals, which will be held May 5-7 in Ft. Collins, Colo.

In the series-opening first game of a Friday doubleheader at Northwestern's Rocky Miller Park, the Penn State baseball team took its hacks at the Big Ten's best hurler, Brad Niedermaier. Coming into the contest, Niedermaier was 7-0 with a conference-best 2.47 ERA.

Thriller
It can be called the Hobart jinx or just bad luck.

After Saturday's 13-12 overtime loss at Jeffrey Field, the No. 9 men's lacrosse team (8-2) has now dropped nine of its last 11 games to Hobart (5-3).
