Lady laxers up; down 2 teams
Women's lacrosse attacker Suzanne Weinberg connected for a pair of goals -- the latter coming with just over 10 minutes to play -- to help No. 8 Penn State pull even and ultimately outlast No. 2 Dartmouth, 9-7, at Lady Lion Field yesterday. Penn State also downed Richmond 16-7 on Saturday.

Minor mishaps pump gymwomen up to win
The Lady Lion gymnastics team can pack its bags -- it's on its way.

"We're going to nationals," said Coach Steve Shephard, who will take the Lady Lions to Athens, Ga., to participate in the 1995 NCAA National Championships on April 22.

After completing their floor routines in the third rotation on Saturday night, Lion gymnasts Tony Pansy and Dave Riordan huddled their team together to discuss the team's initial lackluster performance at the 1995 NCAA East Regional competition.

On the frozen tundra of Minnesota's Bierman Field, the softball team gained a split with the Golden Gophers on Saturday before having its games yesterday postponed due to the frigid temperatures.
