Mr. and Ms. Asian Penn State contest continues today
The Fourth Annual Asian-American Awareness Conference, which will be held this weekend, has a new twist this year. The first-ever Mr. and Ms. Asian Penn State will be chosen by a vote to raise funds for Asian-Americans United.

NPHC steps it up for international issues
By stomping and chanting in a Feb. 22 step show at Juniata College, the National Pan-Hellenic Council raised money to help students in Rwanda and Burundi and to increase community awareness about international conflicts in those countries.

Operating in overdrive
Paul Kasper hunches over a wooden table, his eyes scanning the room full of barely conscious students in Irving's Bagels on a Sunday morning. The majority of people walk past him -- unaware that he could very well have affected their Penn State experience in some way during the last few years.

Research assistant gets bicycle paths on track
As more and more abandoned railroad beds are converted to rail-trails for bicycles and pedestrians, engineers are facing design problems. Few design guidelines exist for these engineers who typically have not accommodated bicyclists or pedestrians crossing roadways where there are no intersections.

Ex-colleagues reunite as opponents
During his 17 years of coaching, Larry Bock has experienced success with both the Juniata men's and women's volleyball program. But what has happened to men's volleyball in Happy Valley the past few years ranks as one of Bock's proudest achievements.
