Dismal advising
As one of the political organizations on the Penn State campus, we are always looking for ways to keep the students more informed and aware of the decisions being made to affect their college experience. After listening to both of the candidates for this year's Undergraduate Student Government presidency and vice presidency, we feel we have enough information to make an intelligent decision based on what we feel are in the best interests of students. The COLLEGE DEMOCRATS are in full support and stand behind the O'BRIEN/ANNECHINI ticket. One of the most important reasons for the backing of these candidates is the issue of student advising. Let's face it folks, the advising situation on this campus is dismal to say the least. If you don't know how bad it is, wait until you need help with your schedule next semester. Also the proposal of additional study days is something we think all students can use. This would alleviate some of the pressure associated with finals week. For these and other reasons we firmly stand behind our decision. Agree with us, great! Disagree with us, well that is fine too. But the most important thing is to get out there, learn about these candidates and VOTE!
