After much waiting, Beno Weiss, president of the Penn State Hillel Foundation's governing board, can begin deciding what to do with Hillel's property at 224 Locust Lane.
The State College Borough Council unanimously voted at Monday night's meeting that the property be rezoned from public activities (PA) to residential-office (RO).
The new zoning will allow the board to restore the property. Weiss said the two options for handling the property are to develop the site or to sell the property.
"All bids are welcome," Weiss said.
Hillel's governing board is going to meet and see what people think is the best way to handle property, Weiss said.
