Trackmen end indoors

The men's indoor track team wrapped up the indoor season by competing in the Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association of America Championships on March 4-5 at Princeton University in New Jersey.

Junior Dave Kriz finished second in the high jump, with a jump of 6 feet, 11 inches, behind Thomas Claiborne of Lincoln (7). Penn State's 4x800 relay team of junior Jason Smith, freshman Joe Loner and seniors Todd Kletter and Leif Steiner took third place with a time of 7 minutes, 35.54 seconds.

Although the Lions only sent 13 athletes to the meet, they managed to finish in 11th place out of 102 teams with 24.5 points. Georgetown won the overall team championship with 86 points.

The Lions will open the outdoor season on March 17-18 at the Florida State relays in Tallahassee, Fla.
