Additional charges were filed against the University student accused of holding two fellow students hostage on Feb. 26.
Juan Villarreal of 115 Snyder is charged with terroristic threats and criminal mischief, University Police Services said. Police said they have also refiled charges of kidnapping.
The two victims, who are also roommates, were held at knife point for several hours early that morning. Both victims were treated at Centre Community Hospital for knife wounds. One student suffered a laceration to the left arm and a puncture wound to the left thigh. The other was treated for cuts to the fingers and hand.
Villarreal was arraigned before District Justice Clifford Yorks March 1 on two counts of kidnapping, two counts of terroristic threats and one count of criminal mischief, police said. He will have another preliminary hearing for the additional charges at 1 p.m March 15.
Villarreal remains at Centre County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
