GRE dates limited; students searching
Educational Testing Services has canceled the February paper-and-pencil Graduate Record Examination, in addition to cutting back the computerized GRE dates to one week each month.

University administrators and faculty might be seeing plans for active and collaborative learning a little more clearly after receiving funds from Bell Atlantic yesterday.

Student commits suicide
Just one day before Valentine's, a University student allegedly decided to take his own life.

According to a news release from the State College Police Department, 26-year old John Farrell, a general arts and sciences student, was discovered dead at approximately 6:12 a.m. Monday morning.

Grappler coach Fritz suspended for match
Coach John Fritz has been suspended for the wrestling team's match against West Virginia on Saturday. The disciplinary action came yesterday as a result of an unsportsmanlike conduct call and subsequent comments about the officiating in a loss to Lock Haven last Thursday.

Vaulter Cooper out for season
It was not even a week since his outstanding performance on the high bar. The gymnast had achieved his career high of 9.8. And now, senior Mark Cooper is facing termination of his season.
