A University student was struck by a car while crossing Curtin Road between Chambers Building and Pattee yesterday afternoon.

Potthoff sidelined with fatigue
The signs were there, but power forward Angie Potthoff didn't notice them.

In every women's basketball game, she was mounting the numbers, scoring and rebounding in double figures 13 times. In each outing, she played an average of 30-plus minutes, making each one count as she repeatedly broke her career stat records.

Concussions hit athletes hard in head
Icer Jurgen Cautreels was skating behind the net when he was levelled by a Mercyhurst check on Jan. 6, his head slamming against the Plexiglas surrounding the rink. The freshman forward made his way back to the bench. He lost his vision during the trip -- a trip he doesn't recall finishing.
