Two cars collide on Allen Street: A woman was taken to the hospital yesterday after she drove into another vehicle.
Violet Richards of 800 S. Pugh St. drove her vehicle yesterday on to Allen Street from Hamilton Avenue and into the path of a vehicle driven by Payal Parikh of 200 Highland Ave., the State College Police Department said.
After colliding with Parikh's car, Richards' car continued along its path knocking over a nearby stop sign. Both vehicles were towed from the scene, police said.
Parikh was taken to Centre Community Hospital and released, a hospital official said.

Burglary: Holly Burns of 924 C Walnut St. reported yesterday a television, stereo and a small amount of cash were taken from her house between Wednesday and yesterday, the State College Police Department said.
The items are worth $277.

Theft: A University employee reported yesterday that someone removed a vacuum cleaner from Findlay Commons between Jan. 27 and 29, University Police Services said.
The vacuum is worth $500.

Theft: A University housing employee reported Wednesday that someone removed the television from the Jordan Hall basement lounge between Sunday and Monday, University police said.
The television is worth $300.
