Police Log

  • Student injured while breaking window: A University student sustained cuts on his hands and arms when he broke a window with his fists Saturday in McKean Hall, University Police Services said.

    Jeffrey Esche of 417 McKean Hall was taken to Centre Community Hospital by University Ambulance Service and issued a citation for criminal mischief, police said.

    Esche was treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.

  • Burglary: Lee Semanek of 812 W. College Ave. reported Saturday that 300 compact discs, five shirts and four cacti were stolen from his residence between Jan. 21 and Jan. 23, the State College Police Department said.

    The value of the items is unkown.

  • Criminal Mischief: A University employee reported Saturday that the rear windshield wiper of their vehicle was damaged while it was parked in Parking Lot Orange B near Findlay Commons, University Police Services said.

    The wiper Is worth '3200.

  • Criminal Mischief: A University employee from the Office of Physical Plant reported Saturday that someone punched a hole in the wall near the second floor exit of the Engineering Unit B, University Police Services said.

    The estimated value is $100

  • Fire: A fire alarm went off early yesterday morning when someone ignited papers hanging on the door of 205 Packer, University police said.

    The fire was out upon arrival, police said.

  • Sexual Assault: A woman reported that she had been raped in Bellefonte yesterday morning, Rockview State Police said.

    The woman reported that the man who raped her was known to her and the police are actively pursuing his arrest, police said.

  • Theft: A University student reported a jacket, gloves and scarf were missing Saturday from Jordan Hall, University police said.

    The items are worth $150.
