Accident leaves one man injured

A Pleasant Gap man sustained minor injuries after being involved in a two car accident in downtown State College yesterday.

John Stania was traveling north on Burrowes Street when Jennifer Shaulinski, a University student, drove through a red light at the intersection of College Avenue and Burrowes Street, the State College Police Department said.

Stania, a driver for Rider Auto Inc., 1703 W. College Ave., was driving two women when the accident occurred.

Dorothy Simons of Boalsburg and Evelyn Dungan of State College were in the car with Stania and were not injured. Stania was taken to Centre Community Hospital.

Stania was treated and released, a nursing supervisor said.
