Several local fire departments arrived at Uni-Mart, 1301 W. College Ave., early Tuesday morning to extinguish a small structural fire at that location, said Steve Lower, assistant chief of the Alpha Fire Company.

The 21-year-old State College man who allegedly stabbed another borough resident to death Jan. 8 left Colorado early this morning, the State College Police Department said.

The difference between the two is striking.

With a wave of slicked-back dark-brown hair, neatly trimmed beard, blue and purple button-down and khakis with a fine crease splitting each long leg, Rich Kraemer has the look and demeanor of a thrift-store butler. His partner, Eric Astor, seems like he has enough energy to short-circuit Kraemer's senses. Looking a little gruff, his buzz cut matted down and restless at the roots, Astor works his small table at the Golden Wok like a pulpit.
