Several local fire departments arrived at Uni-Mart, 1301 W. College Ave., early Tuesday morning to extinguish a small structural fire at that location, said Steve Lower, assistant chief of the Alpha Fire Company.

Firefighters from the Alpha Fire Company, Boalsburg Fire Company and Pleasant Gap Fire Company searched the building for the source of the smoke and determined the fire was located between the ceiling and the roof, Lower said.

The companies responded to the fire about five minutes after it was reported to them and had the fire under control within 30 minutes, Lower said.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, Lower said. There were no injuries and no estimate of at this time, he said.
