Three new nominees for one IFC position

Since the first night of nominations for Interfraternity Council positions, three nominations for administrative vice president have been announced in addition to Mike Gardner, who was nominated Jan. 9.

One nomination is Ed Kilpela, who is now the IFC Board of Control appeals sub-chairman, and a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, 200 E. Beaver Ave.

Bryan Brockson also received a nomination. Brockson is the IFC membership committee's promotion and advertising chairman and a member of Delta Upsilon fraternity, 229 Locust Lane.

The third nomination was for Steve Gordon, now the IFC membership committee's information, research and analysis chairman. Gordon is a member of Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity, 225 E. Foster Ave.

Elections for the positions of IFC president, administrative vice president and treasurer will be held Feb. 6. Nominations will be open until that date.

Gordon thinks that he knows what issues to address on his platform.

"I would like to work more with the chapter presidents and represent them to the best of my ability. I can see where the areas of concern are and address those issues," he said.

No additional nominations for IFC president or treasurer have been announced but others are expected before elections.
