Assault: An employee at Centre Community Hospital reported yesterday that a 17-year-old man was struck with a stick early yesterday morning at 646 E. College, Ave., the State College Police Department said.

The victim was in his brother's unlocked apartment at the time of the incident, police said.

An investigation is continuing, police said.

Auto Theft: Geraldine Young of 227 E. Prospect Ave. reported yesterday that her automobile was stolen from the back parking lot of her apartment yesterday morning, the State College police said.

The car is worth $6,000.
