Power to change
Students! Revolutionaries! We have been told all our lives that we can't change anything. That you can't fight city hall. We have been taught to think that we are not capable of really governing ourselves, that we must be told what to do and when to do it. We have been indoctrinated into accepting the idea that it is the business of capitalists to make profits and it is the business of our capitalist government to protect those profits, and that each of us is just some apparatus put here to serve others, to work for others, to be ordered around by rich, white men who are corrupt and not very much alive; who want us to believe that this is just the "natural" order of things. But you know, we can change things if we want to because we have the power to resist. The power to stand up and say "No." We have the kind of school or society we want -- or something else entirely if we want -- because there isn't going to be any school or society at all without us!
