What goes around...

The year was 1982.

The site was State College.

The team was Nebraska.

The score was 27-24, PSU.

The ref was a relative?

The plays should have never happened.

Look at the tape of that last drive, last minute, again.

Penn State at 11-1 finished No. 1.

Nebraska at 12-1 finished No. 3.

It took 12 years ... but we gotcha!

Congratulations on a fine season. Your offense was second only to the 1983 Huskers. But your defense, as recognized by 105 and a half coaches and sportswriters of the CNN-USA Today and The Associated Press polls, in part, cost you the 1994 National Championship. The other parts include your decision to join the Big Ten and an undefeated, well-rounded Nebraska team that beat No. 3, No. 6 and No. 16 -- three teams with fewer losses than any single team Penn State played all year. You went undefeated, but that wasn't enough. The Cornhuskers, the only team recognized by the NCAA as 1994 National Champs, stood in your way. You see, "What goes around, comes around."
