Richard Black set a goal for this year. He wants to weigh as much as he did when he left the army in 1991 -- 197 pounds.

University students who are tired of losing money from bookstores' profitable policy of buying and selling books at what seems to be unreasonable prices, have another option to turn to --the book co-op.

The State College Police Department is still actively searching for the State College man who fatally stabbed another local man Sunday morning.

The Interfraternity Council started the process of nomination and election of new officers last night at its first meeting of the semester.

SPORTS

Scranton's 0-12 ice hockey record may be a little deceptive. The Division III team in the Eastern Coast Athletic Conference has squared off in a league that may be too difficult for the young Royals squad, resulting in its poor record.

For the better part of his Division I football career, Ki-Jana Carter, Penn State's tailback, has delighted thousands of Nittany Lion fans with his athletic ability and off-field persona.

This year in films is widely being described as the worst year in recent memory. Sure, Quentin Tarantino became a household name with Pulp Fiction, and Robert Redford scored a critical hit with Quiz Show, but after that nobody could really agree on what makes a good film.

The music of 1994 was little more than a rehashing of past years, for the most part. Alternative music continued to make progress, surviving the suicide of "generational spokesman" and Nirvana leader Kurt Cobain, prompting tribute albums/songs from just about everyone.
