Police Log

  • Assault: Two men were arraigned Saturday before District Justice Robert Shoff on charges of simple assault, aggravated assault and harassment, the State College Police Department said.

    Jason M. Klein, 21, of 613 E. College Ave. and Robert J. Kalkowski, 20, of Valencia allegedly beat up a New Jersey man Saturday morning at 613 E. College Ave., police said.

    The man was treated for facial lacerations and a fractured jawbone at Centre Community Hospital, police said.

    Klein and Kalkowski were released from Centre County Prison Saturday in lieu of $5,000 bail, a prison spokesman said.

  • Burglary: Joel Shaw and Martin Russell, both of A406 S. Allen St., reported 142 compact discs were stolen Sunday morning from their apartment, State College police said.

    Police said they have no suspects.

    The CDs are worth about $1,800.

  • Theft: Randall Greenfield of 325 McKee Hall reported his bicycle was stolen from a rack outside his dorm between Thursday night and Friday morning, University Police Services said.

    The bicycle is worth $160.

University police are located in the Eisenhower Parking Garage on campus.
