The jury watched a simulated strangulation yesterday during closing arguments in the trial of James R. Cruz Jr. as Centre County District Attorney Ray Gricar attempted to demonstrate how a 17-year-old runaway might have been killed.

Downtown shoppers will soon be able to buy Eddie Bauer apparel, shop in the easier-to-enter Lion's Pride, and finish off their day with a bagel and cappuccino at Irving's Bagels newest location.

The Campus Loop will continue to run on a limited basis during Summer Session.

With its narrow picturesque streets and Victorian clapboard houses, Boalsburg seems like another world compared to the busy bar-lined streets of State College. But this contrast could serve as an escape for hot and bored students this summer.

The action film genre has sunk to a new low for plot lines. Having exploited every means of terrorized passengers, from airplanes in Passenger 57 to aircraft carriers in Under Siege, Hollywood has finally been relegated to public transportation.

More people than not miss the low red and white building that's just a few yards off the busy Benner Pike toward Bellefonte. If they do notice the small ticket building, a glance at the chipped paint and the sign printed in a script reminiscent of a 1950s diner makes it easy to dismiss it as an abandoned relic of a past era.
