The Panhellenic Council voted Monday to change some rush rules, partly because some Jewish women had to decide last fall whether to spend Yom Kippur with their families or their sororities.

Standing on the level plane of sidewalk in front of the Willard Building steps, the red-shirted, horned devil was safe, sinless. With each step up, his sin and pleasure increased -- but it was short-lived and left him craving another.

Charges were filed against 18 people yesterday as the result of a two-year investigation of a large marijuana flow into central and southeastern Pennsylvania.

A man robbed a bank teller yesterday afternoon at Peoples National Bank of Central Pennsylvania, 222 S. Allen St., the State College Police Department said.

Men's Lacrosse Coach Glenn Thiel is upset his team won 15-13. Although the Lions beat Bucknell, the score was much closer than he wanted it to be.

Although they all compete in different sports, student-athletes share more than preserving the Penn State tradition. They know by eating well, they preserve themselves and their athletic performances.

Tom Bisko knows that feeling. He's been there before. He knows that feeling of running in front of a stadium overflowing with frenzied spectators.

Dayna Holston does her best when she's not taking herself too seriously. And she's had a lot of opportunities to do just that.

Although the men's and women's rugby clubs are going in opposite directions in pursuing the same goal, if either returns victorious it will have accomplished what no other Penn State team was able to do this year.

When Dave Hall sits down at a table beneath a shady tree on the HUB balcony, the chair does not vanish under a mammoth body. This is the first clue that Hall is not the stereotypical rightfielder.

The Penn State Lady Lion gymnastics team was moments away from the start of its most important meet of the season. The 1994 Regional Championships were about to begin and the coaches had just called the team together for some last minute advice. Just then senior co-captain Coby Silver came rushing into the group, an excited look on her face. She could not keep the words in . . .

It wasn't an easy decision to make. After learning that he would be academically ineligible to compete, gymnast Joel Neuwirth packed his bags and headed home to Georgia in January.
