Rockview state police reported a 16-year-old student at Bald Eagle Area High School took an unloaded revolver to school yesterday and placed it in his locker.

The student allegedly brought the gun to school because he thought it would alleviate the problems he had with a large group of other students, police said.

Police said the student never displayed the weapon.

An investigation is continuing.
