Real results

Erich May and April Campbell are real students with real student concerns; they represent the best choice for all students at Penn State. The basic problem with student government is that too many people are trying to govern and too few are trying to help. May and Campbell intend to listen to students, redefine the role of the Undergraduate Student Government plays in the University community, and create real results.

Each of the four tickets running for USG president and vice president have announced similar platforms. People know what needs to be done here. The question isn't about who has the most creative ideas, but who can best implement those ideas in a way that will benefit students. In high school you win elections by promising a new Coke (I mean Pepsi) machine or pizza for lunch every day. Students are smarter than that now. Elections are determined by people and their motivations.

May and Campbell are trying to expand Pattee, HUB and Rec Hall hours. They want to cut through bureaucracy and provide useful, honest advising. They are trying to improve parking and transportation needs as well as create a campus of education and tolerance. May and Campbell will push the student agenda on the administration and town. Students live here, pay tuition and spend money. We're the consumers. We want what we paid for.

Most importantly, Erich May and April Campbell are running for office because they want to enjoy the things they are talking about. Erich wants to ride a Loop bus home during the week and study late at Pattee. April wants to feel safe walking at night and actually graduate in four years. They aren't stuffing their resumes. They're improving Penn State with real, tangible goals.

Life at Penn State is about real things you can touch. May and Campbell are real students. That's why we should vote for Erich May and April Campbell on March 30.
