Police Log

  • Burglary: Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, 321 E. Fairmount Ave., reported a compact disc player was stolen early Saturday morning from on top of its bar, the State College Police Department said.

    The CD player is worth $289.

  • Criminal Mischief: University employee Edward Drapcho reported Thursday night that a window was broken on the west side of the Forum, University Police Services said. The time of the incident is unknown, police said.

    The damage to the window is estimated at $220.

  • Harassment: Thomas Aldred of 340 E. Beaver Ave. reported several AW & Sons employees came to his apartment, knocked on the door and allegedly pushed him against the wall, State College police said. The apartment building is owned by AW & Sons.

    Aldred was allegedly holding a baseball bat when he opened the door and the employees removed the bat from his hand, police said.

  • Simple Assault: Jeffrey Miller of 1015 Old Boalsburg Road was arrested for allegedly pushing his girlfriend early yesterday morning, State College police said.

    Miller was at a party at 1006 S. Pugh St. when he decided he wanted to leave and allegedly tried to force his girlfriend to leave with him, police said. The girlfriend refused and Miller allegedly pushed her into the chair causing her to hit the kitchen wall, police said.

    Miller also allegedly punched Hardie Cooper of 1006 S. Pugh St., police said.

    Miller is being held in lieu of $500 bail.

  • Simple Assault: Brian Troland of 320 E. Beaver Ave. reported his former girlfriend, Jennifer Beavers of 340 E. Beaver Ave., attempted to hit him with a beer bottle early Sunday morning at Tatoo, 420 E. College Ave., State College police said.

    Beavers also allegedly punched Kimberly Gilger of Havertown, who is Troland's current girlfriend, police said.

  • Simple Assault: Thomas Lennon of 523 S. Allen St. reported he was allegedly jumped from behind by two unknown men early Saturday morning, State College police said.

    Lennon suffered a head cut as well as a possible broken nose, police said.

  • Theft: Paul Claypool of 215 W. Fairmount Ave. reported his unlocked Rockhopper bicycle was stolen from the basement of the Corner Room, 100 W. College Ave., State College police said.

    The bicycle is worth $700.

  • Theft: Ben Tait of Centre Hall reported two speakers and an amplifier were stolen from his car last week at 535 University Drive, State College police said.

    The stereo equipment is worth $650.

  • Theft: Marc Dakuginow of 222 W. Beaver Ave. reported his bicycle was stolen Thursday afternoon from the south side of the Forum, University police said.

    The bicycle is worth $220.

  • Theft/Criminal Mischief: University employee Mary Libreatori reported a laundry ticket machine was broken into between Thursday night and Saturday afternoon, University police said.

    The damage to the machine is estimated at $150.

University police are located in the Eisenhower Parking Garage on campus.
