A 21-year-old man was arrested for assaulting a 22-year-old University student early Friday morning in downtown State College.
Lawrence Arnold Adams III, whose address is unknown, was arrested for allegedly indecently touching the woman several times in different places, the State College Police Department said. The woman was walking home through the 100 block of Kelly Alley -- behind the Fraser Street Parking Garage -- when Adams allegedly began following her. Police said Adams made lewd gestures and grabbed the woman by the arm.
The woman, who was not injured, was able to contact police. Police located Adams after searching the area and arrested him after a brief foot chase.
Adams' identity was unknown until Friday night because he refused to provide the information to police. Adams was later identified by Centre County Prison staff. He was charged with indecent assault, simple assault, harassment and stalking.
Adams was arraigned before District Justice Clifford Yorks and placed in Centre County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail. Yorks said Adams refused to give his name during the arraignment.
In another arraignment, a 23-year-old University student was brought before District Justice Clifford Yorks Friday for allegedly selling marijuana to an undercover police officer last May, according to court records.

Beaver Ave. He faces charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
