Ebony and Ivory Week already may be close to ending, but the impact it can make on a person could last a lifetime.
Sponsored by Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc., Alpha Phi Alpha, Inc., Delta Gamma sorority and Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, the week aims to promote better gender and race relations.
The theme this year, "Embracing Our Differences," tries to bring diverse groups in society together through education and understanding. Two programs this week offer a chance to bridge the gap of our differences.
-- Sam Fulwood, a Los Angeles Times journalist, will speak about "The Rage of the Black Middle Class" at 8 p.m. today in the HUB Ballroom.
-- There will be a program titled, "Night of Cross Colours," featuring multicultural song and dance at 7 p.m. tomorrow in the Paul Robeson Cultural Center Auditorium.
