I am writing to encourage you to discontinue accepting advertising inserts in your paper. Every day when I enter Willard Building an enormous pile of inserts lie on the floor, usually wet and torn from being walked over by students.

I can't believe the advertising benefit of these flyers, which few students seem to read or keep, is enough to warrant the waste and mess they create. With all of us becoming more conscious of environmental issues, I believe most people would see this as a pointless waste of forest resources.
