Letter to the Editor
Living proof
This letter is in response to the March 17 letter titled "Solve own problems," written by Eric Voigt. In the letter, Mr. Voigt points out that the Penn State administration, should they grant the demands of the Lesbian, Gay Bisexual Student Alliance's Project TEACH!, "would be condoning the spread of homosexuality and giving them more influence." The ignorance and homophobia from which Mr. Voigt suffers is exactly the reason why LGBSA believes more programming on gay-related issues is necessary on this campus. Thank you, Mr. Voigt, for having the courage to display your ignorance in a public forum. You are living proof that more education, however you want to define it, is vital if Penn State wants to create an environment truly celebrating diversity. You have just sent a strong message to Penn State's top administrators that they certainly have their work cut out for them.

LGBSA political co-director
