  • Mom locks out girls, police intervene: A Philipsburg mother locked her two teen-age daughters out of their house Sunday afternoon and threw their clothes on a sidewalk, Philipsburg State Police said.

The woman locked out the girls, ages 13 and 14, to get their attention because she was upset, police said.

Police said they were called to the home by neighbors. At the request of police, the woman allowed the children back into the house about an hour after she had initially locked them out, police said.

No charges will be filed against the woman, police said.
