Police Log

  • Man critically injured after roof collapse: The Undine Fire Company in Bellefonte reported it freed a 53-year-old Benner Township man who was trapped after his porch roof collapsed on him yesterday morning.

    The man was taken to Centre Community Hospital and was later transferred to the trauma unit at Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital in Johnstown. A nursing supervisor reported the man was listed in critical condition in intensive care.

    The roof collapsed because of the weight of the snow, an Undine Fire Company official said. Hospital officials would not release the man's identity.
