The Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Student Alliance -- due to what they call the "failure" of the University administration to educate themselves and the community on homophobia and heterosexism -- is planning a program aimed at implementing a new staff position and an office to address the needs of the lesbian, gay and bisexual community.

A student group attracted protests this week after decorating a HUB window with a quote from a Jewish holy book and now a policy change could be in the works.

When last season's ACHL playoffs rolled around, Penn State goalkeeper Dennis Magulick eagerly awaited the chance to play. But as the backup to starter John Gray, the opportunity to perform was rare.

Pages six and seven of the 1993-94 Ohio State women's basketball media guide are dedicated to the Buckeyes' unforgettable '92-93 season. In words and pictures, the 28-4 record, Big Ten co-championship and run to the Final Four are commemorated. Clad in an army fatigue jacket and bandana, The Amazing Nigel, now ex-disc jockey for WEHR-FM, came to his former radio station ready for combat.

This isn't your mother's cover art. Designers "back then" had a big record cover to mess around with -- compact disc cover designers today must convey an image in a much smaller space.

Since 1992, the national organization Rock For Choice has waged a sonic fight for abortion rights with a screeching guitar line and musical prowess as its main weapons.

The score of Madama Butterfly filled 102 Classroom/Office Building last Friday as local residents attentively listened to Laura Macy's lecture about the opera.

Actor/director Ben Stiller's new movie is a slacker comedy about a young woman falling in and out of love -- and responsibility.

Reality Bites has been billed as "a comedy about love in the '90s." A quick look at the songs on the soundtrack, however, might make listeners think "a movie about being depressed about love in the '90s" would be a better description.

When the people at Paramount went searching for a title for the Shaquille O'Neal vehicle Blue Chips, one has to wonder if they couldn't have been more creative . . .
