Man injured in fight Saturday night: Patrick Poss of 350 McBath St. and Scott Miller of 510 N. Burrowes St. were allegedly involved in a fight at 200 W. New Alley on Saturday night, the State College Police Department said. The two were allegedly involved in a verbal argument before Miller swung at Poss with a cane and pulled a knife on him, police said, adding that Miller was injured and taken to Centre Community Hospital.
Later that evening at the hospital, Miller was cited with disorderly conduct after allegedly yelling profanity at hospital staff members, police said. Miller allegedly attempted to hit staff members and get off the treament table, police said, adding that he had to be restrained by hospital staff members.
Miller was cited with disorderly conduct for his actions in the hospital, police said, adding that Poss did not want to file charges in relation to the alleged fight.

Man cited for disorderly conduct: State College police cited one and will charge another in connection with a fight on Saturday night.
William Kelly of 254 S. Fraser St. was cited with disorderly conduct after he allegedly hit and injured Michael Smith of 439 W. Park Ave. Friday night, State College police said. More serious charges against Smith are pending, police said.
Both men were injured, police said, adding that Smith's injuries were more severe than Kelly's.

Drug Law Violation: A Bigler Hall resident assistant reported Friday night that she smelled suspected marijuana smoke from a second-floor Bigler room, University Police Services said.
Officers identified the room's occupants and confiscated what they suspect to be marijuana, pipes with marijuana residue and a bag of marijuana seeds, police said.
Police said no charges have been filed.

Fraud: An employee at Rent America, 2131 S. Atherton St., reported that two separate individuals did not return rented entertainment equipment worth $3,357.95 and $3,269.06.
Police have two suspects, and an investigation is continuing.

Fraud: An employee at Hills Department Store, 2121 S. Atherton St., reported the store received two checks totaling $189.27 that were written on a closed account, State College police said.
