Another look

In Tuesday's Collegian, Jonathan Bombulie stated how one could not "imagine . . . John Amaechi making sure all the Rec Hall fans get a chance to shake his hand."

It appears Bombulie has never met John, and for that matter, never watched John after a game. Whether after a win or a loss, John is always outside the locker room talking to fans of all ages and signing autographs.

It also seems Bombulie does not visit Rec Hall during the evenings or weekends when John is "hanging out" with the kids of this community. We also assume Bombulie does not attend State College Area High School basketball games, where John is a regular fan cheering and supporting the team from the stands. Finally, I guess Bombulie has never observed John spending time with his little brothers from the local "Big Brother" program.

While it is great the wrestlers sign autographs, they do not have to be praised by putting down other athletes. Maybe Bombulie should go introduce himself to John Amaechi. We are sure John would even shake his hand.
