  • Student arrested for assaulting cadet: A University student was arrested yesterday morning for allegedly kicking a University Police Services cadet in the head last weekend, University police said.

Justin Naddeo, 19, of 20 Hamilton Hall was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person, police said.

Police said Cadet Justin Kessinger stopped Naddeo and another man early Sunday morning near Willard Building for allegedly possessing alcoholic beverages. Kessinger was allegedly kicked in the head twice by Naddeo while attempting to obtain identification, police said.

Naddeo was arraigned yesterday before District Justice Clifford Yorks and sent to Centre County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. on Feb. 23.

Kessinger was treated and released from Centre Community Hospital after he sustained broken bones in the eye and cheek area, police said.
