Man waiting for taxi assaulted Friday: Scott Peeples, 23, of 349 W. Clinton Ave., reported he was assaulted by three men early Friday morning, the State College Police Department said.
Police said Peeples was waiting for a taxi on the 100 block of College Avenue when he was approached by the men. The men allegedly threw Peeples to the ground and began kicking and punching him in the face before leaving. He suffered cuts on his chin and a head wound, police said.
Peeples was transported to Centre Community Hospital, where he was treated and released.
Police said they have no suspects, but an investigation is continuing.

Man arrested for marijuana possession: Rockview State Police arrested a State College man Friday night for possession of 15 pounds of marijuana.
Eric L. Bunge of 117 Ghaner Drive was arrested by Rockview police after he allegedly attempted to deliver 5 pounds of marijuana to a confidential police informant in State College. A search of Bunge's vehicle allegedly revealed another 10 pounds of marijuana, police said.
The seized marijuana is worth about $36,000.
Bunge was arraigned before District Justice Ronald Horner, who set bail at $75,000. Police said Bunge was not able to make bail and was transferred to Centre County Prison.
A preliminary hearing was set for Wednesday.

Assault: A State College man was arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife Friday night, State College police said.
He was arraigned before District Justice Ronald Horner and was taken to Centre County Prison and released in lieu of $1,000 bail, police said.

Assault: A woman reported she was assaulted late Saturday night inside her home, State College police said.
Police said the woman entered her home and started to make a phone call when she was grabbed by an unknown man. After her head was slammed against a wall, she sprayed him with Mace, police said. The man then fled from the home.
The woman was treated and released at Centre Community Hospital. Police have a description of the man and an investigation is continuing.

Public Drunkenness, Defiant Trespass and Criminal Trespass: William Walker of 636 E. College Ave. was cited for public drunkenness and criminal trespassing Saturday night after allegedly wandering into a house at 448 E. Prospect Ave., police said.
Walker was also cited for defiant tresspassing Saturday night when he allegedly wandered into Delta Tau Delta fraternity, 429 E. Hamilton Ave, police said.
After Walker quickly entered the house, the members of the fraternity asked him if he knew anyone at the fraternity, and Walker replied that he knew Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding, police said.
