Fraud: Pro Trans Transmission Specialists, 2400 Commercial Blvd., received a check on Jan. 10 written on a closed account, the State College Police Department said.

The check was written for $1,211.34, police said.

Trespassing: A 20-year-old woman reported an unknown man was in her apartment at 203 E. Fairmount Ave. at about 3:30 a.m. yesterday, State College police said.

Police said one of the residents heard a noise and looked in the living room, where she saw a man wearing shorts and a T-shirt. The man uttered something incoherent and left the apartment, police said.
