Police Log

  • Masked men rob convenience store: Two men wearing ski masks robbed the Uni-Mart at 1301 W. College Ave. early yesterday morning, the Ferguson Township Police Department said.

Police said one of the men who entered the Ferguson Township convenience store at 3:15 a.m. was armed with a baseball bat. While one man ordered the clerk to lay on the floor, the other man went behind the counter and stole an undetermined amount of money from the cash register. The register was damaged in the incident.

The men then ordered the employee to follow them as they exited the rear of the store, police said. While leaving the store, the two men took part of the video surveillance system with them.

Police said one suspect was wearing a green ski mask and was carrying a baseball bat. The other suspect did not display a weapon.

Ferguson Township police are asking anyone with information to call them at 237-1172.
