Tradition is a large part of life at Penn State, especially during 1993 Homecoming Week. This year, the Class of 1994 can take part in a tradition that dates back to the very first graduating class of 1861. It is a senior class group photograph. This tradition was lost some time ago, but now it is being brought back.

At 4 p.m. tomorrow, the Class of 1994 will meet at "The Pennsylvania State University" monument sign at the northeast corner of Beaver Stadium. The picture will be taken promptly at 4:15 p.m., so don't be late.

Copies of the photograph will be sold for a reasonable price at a later date. Proceeds will be used to raise money for the 1994 Senior Class Gift -- an extended hours reading room in Pattee. This photograph will also be on display in this room so your picture can be part of Penn State forever.

Take some time out of your afternoon to get together with your friends and become part of a photograph you can keep forever. Walk or run, Loop it or drive there -- just get there! Don't miss out on this great tradition that gives seniors a chance to come together as an entire class.

Brian D. Shook
1994 Senior Class Gift Campaign chairman
