Rockview inmate stabs four others: An inmate at the State Correctional Institute at Rockview stabbed four other inmates Monday morning, Rockview state police said.
Dana Murphy, Michael Fahnestock, Walter Huot and Jack Simmons were stabbed by an inmate wielding a homemade knife, police said.
Murphy was admitted to the Centre Community Hospital with a back wound, police said, adding Murphy returned to Rockview Tuesday afternoon.
The other three inmates were treated at the prison dispensary for minor injuries, police said.

Criminal Mischief: John Kowalski of 307 Ewing reported a window of the Redifer Commons snack bar was broken early yesterday morning by a water balloon, University Police Services said.
No damage estimate was available.

Theft: University employee Elliot Fratkin reported his bicycle was stolen between Sept. 1 and Sept. 15 from the east side of Kern Building, University police said.
The bicycle is worth $220.

Theft: University employee Daniel Armstrong reported a set of percussion cymbals was stolen Sept. 13 from 251 Music Building, University police said.
The cymbals are worth $191.

Theft: Michael Wallace of 255 Highland Ave. reported the bikini car cover for his vehicle, 15 cassette tapes and a camouflage field jacket were stolen between Tuesday and Wednesday from his vehicle while it was parked outside his residence, the State College Police Department said.
The items are worth $150.
