The Wildcats understand perfection. In the Big Ten, Northwestern University ranked first for men, women and total athletes for graduation rates, according to the 1992-93 NCAA Division I Graduation Report. The university also graduated 100 percent of all female, men's basketball and men's cross country and track athletes. In just a couple of months, wrestler Kerry McCoy went from a Penn State freshman to a world traveler. According to statistics, Penn State athletics have some catching up to do. Out of the eleven Big Ten schools, the University tied Wisconsin at sixth place for total graduation of its athletes.
