I have been reading in the newspaper of the wonderful response to the Senior Class Gift. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation for the hard work of the Senior Class Gift Committee with Jim Ryerson as chair and to the dedicated staff of the Office of Development.
Student Affairs is pleased that we have received the gift this year in University Health Services for renovations to the Urgent Care Unit. Now that the project has almost tripled its goal, raising $85,000 to date, we are even more excited about the possibilities of the new goal of $100,000.
We were very fortunate to receive the Senior Class Gift within Student Affairs in 1988 to aid in the construction of the interview training center within the Career Development and Placement Services.
The committee made a decision that will be appreciated by future University students. My thanks go to the committee for taking a step toward improving the services for students. I, along with Craig Millar, associate vice president and Margaret Spear, director of clinical services, wish this project every success with special congratulations to the graduating class of 1993.
