Police Log

  • Burglary: Someone broke into the apartment of George Ioannou, Jason Morrill and Robert Arbuckle, all of 616 E. College Ave., between 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 p.m. Sunday and stole a television, stereo, Walkman, watch, various textbooks and 70 compact discs, State College Bureau of Police Services said.

    The door was kicked in, police said, adding that the stolen merchandise is worth $1,420.

  • Disorderly Conduct: Two residents of Pinchot Hall were sawing wood in the building and created enough dust to set off a fire alarm at 12:54 a.m. yesterday, University police said.

    The building was evacuated, police said.

  • Scattering Rubbish: Kirsten Keune of 138 E. Beaver Ave. reported seeing an abandoned freezer chest containing beef carcasses on the University's Musser Farm on Fox Hill Road between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday, University police said.

    Staff members from Environmental Health and Safety, Eisenhower Parking Deck, were called to dispose of the material.

  • Theft: Marielle Bravo of 6 Simmons reported her bicycle was stolen from the Simmons Hall bicycle rack between Friday and Saturday, University police said.

    The bicycle is worth $150.

  • Theft: Priya Patil of 1206 N. Inverary Place reported a black bag was stolen from the bleachers of the Rec Hall main gym between 5:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Sunday, University Police Services said.

    The bag and its contents are worth $236.
