Police Log

  • Criminal Mischief: Leslee D. Asbury of 107 Ridgewood Circle reported an "X" was scratched on the hood of her 1992 Plymouth Voyager station wagon while it was parked at 480 Waupelani Drive from 10:15 p.m. Monday to 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, State College Bureau of Police Services said.

    Several marks were also scratched into the roof of the car, police said.

    No damage estimate was available.

  • Fraud: An employee of the Connecting Point, 222 W. College Ave., reported the store received a bad check on Feb. 3, State College police said.

    The check was for $773. Police said an investigation is continuing.

  • Theft: University employee Jerry Gearhart reported a vacuum cleaner was stolen from the seventh-floor workroom of Hiester Hall between Jan. 18 and Jan. 25, University Police Services said.

    The vacuum is worth $100.
