As seniors look forward to graduation day, area hotel and restaurant owners are preparing for one of their biggest weekends of the year.

State College may have a weak-mayor system, but that doesn't mean the mayor only cuts ribbons and munches on snacks at ceremonial banquets.

Project Growth, a student peer group that formerly advocated neutrality, will now take a stance on issues such as fair housing, rape and interracial relationships.

Students either love 'em or hate 'em. But few can say they haven't made themselves known or accomplished some of what they set out to do.
