I have written this letter in response to the article by Garrett Rothman in the Feb. 16 issue of the Collegian. I would first like to address the fact that Rush Limbaugh, according to Garrett, is a bit overweight. It seems to me that Garrett has something against people with weight problems. Garrett, get a clue. If you want to be a liberal, you are going to have to accept people as they are. Personally, I'd rather have Rush's excessive weight than your lack of intelligence. Here's some advice to you, instead of ripping on Rush for his weight problem, why don't you turn on WMAJ-AM (1450) at noon and listen to his idea you might learn something. Futhermore, I would love my picture next to this article (if its printed by the leftist liberal staff at the Collegian) to hear you point out my physical defects. Secondly, I would like to point out the fact that you, Garrett, don't know what you are. When you were in high school, surrounded by all your conservative peers, you found yourself on the right wing. Now that you are surrounded by leftist liberals, you have changed your so called beliefs to agree with the left. Hmmm, what's going to happen if, when you get into the "real" world, you find yourself among a majority of conservatives in your work place? Is being popular that important to you? You think you have wised up but I'm not so sure. You just want to fit in. The next point I would like to respond to is your closing comment. You stated that the next time you enter a sauna you will close the door behind you because you never know who might be following you in. Is it so bad to be exposed to the other side's ideas? You're supposed to be open-minded in order to be liberal. Also, let's consider the heterosexuals in basic training. They, unfortunately don't have doors, let alone stalls, to close behind them. (Of course, right away I'm a homophobe. C'mon Garrett, get a clue). Finally, Garrett and the rest of the liberals out there, you all probably think I disagreed with everything he said. That's not true. He said one thing I totally agreed with. That is, your knowledge of the political world is pretty rudimentary. Maybe if you listened to Rush (instead of ripping on his weight problem) you might increase your political knowledge. By the way Garrett, is your major sociolgy or socialism, I think maybe the Collegian made a misprint. You've woken from one nightmare and fell into another, liberalism.
