Preliminary hearings

A 20-year-old Philipsburg man was ordered Wednesday by District Magistrate Robert May to stand trial for allegedly sexually assaulting his 10-year-old cousin.

Edward E. Schickling was charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault and corruption of a minor, stemming from an incident that occurred Jan. 16.

Schickling allegedly made sexual advances toward his cousin when the boy spent the night at the defendant's house. The boy testified that Schickling told him not to tell anyone about the occurrence.
