Police Log

  • Assault: An 8-year-old State College girl was allegedly assaulted on the 300 block of East Irvin Avenue by two boys whose ages are estimated to be between 9 and 11, State College Bureau of Police Services said.

    One of the boys allegedly held the girl while the other allegedly held a pocketknife near her face and made threats, police said.

  • Theft: Pat McLaughlin of Haranin Construction in Bellefonte reported at 11:58 Friday morning that a window louver was stolen from a building at the construction site of the new University poultry plant, University police said.

    The window louver is worth $900.

  • Theft: Christopher Thompson of 529 W. Foster Ave. reported his backpack was stolen sometime between 6 and 8:30 Friday evening from 33 White, University police said.

    The backpack and its contents are worth $360.

  • Theft: A resident of Chi Phi fraternity, 360 E. Hamilton Ave., reported a painting of the fraternity house was stolen from a wall in the house at about 1 Sunday morning, State College police said.

    The painting is worth $200.
